Facebook - Dividend Information:

Facebook does not pay a dividend. That said, FB generates a steady stream of net income every quarter which would allow them to easily pay a dividend. Additionally, FB has a massive cash pile and no debt. Currently, FB and investors agree that they would rather have FB invest its additional cash into other ventures to achieve further growth. However, if FB's growth were to fall below 10% YoY for 3-5 consecutive quarters, I could easily see investors begin to demand a dividend (this is a personal guess). AAPL ran into this quandary several years ago....they didn't want to pay a dividend but were generating so much cash, at a rate faster than they could invest, that investor demand eventually won. Now AAPL pays the one of largest quarterly dividends in the market (as a cumulative total, not as a percent of the share price).
