Just today, I signed up for a TastyWorks account. Why? Well, they offered me 100 free shares of stock (TBD what ticker) for setting up an account and making an initial deposit of $2K. I will provide an update on what I receive; however, why not take the free money? Per internet sleuthing, it seems the stock will have a per share value somewhere between $2/share and $10/share. We'll see.
In addition to TastyWorks, other promotions offered by low-to-no cost brokerages are referenced below:
Robinhood - Promotion - Click link, start account, get a free share of stock. No deposit need to redeem free share of stock.
WeBull - Promotion - Click link and start and account for a couple free shares of stock (valued between $2.5 and $250). Initial deposit of $100 required.
SoFi Invest - Promotion - Clink link, start an account with $1K and receive $50 in stock (i.e. 5% return, zero risk)
E*Trade - Promotion - Click the link and get $25 when you open an account and deposit $5K.
I use each and post my portfolio distributions for each account on emriches.com/portfolio.
